We’re so pleased to introduce the first in a series of posts (with lots of great advice on spring stationery colours!) from Lisa of The Card Gallery. Over to Lisa…
With the warmer, lighter, spring days around the corner, we’re starting to think about lighter and brighter colours and ditching the greys and blacks. Here I have ‘Pantone’s Spring 2014 Colour Report’ – which I am sure you’ll agree really does lift the mood!
Wedding Invitation Ideas Spring 2014
At The Card Gallery we often get customers asking if we can change the colour of an invitation to fit with the current colour trends. It is something a lot of wedding stationers are willing to do if you contact them with details of your colour and theme.
Here I am going to show a few examples of how you can incorporate the spring 2014 colour palette into your stationery, showing you before and after images of how an invitation can be transformed to give it a more spring-like feel.
Hemlock, Violet Tulip and Freesia
I love this invitation; it’s fresh and says spring. It also incorporates colours that are bang on trend – hemlock, violet tulip and freesia.
Celosia Orange and Sand
Next I have a lovely Polka Dot Invitation in celosia orange and sand. It’s fun and vibrant and would compliment a spring wedding well…
This particular invitation is originally shown in a light mocha colour but has been transformed by using a gorgeous dazzling blue.
Cayenne and Sand
This Vintage Peony Invitation naturally incorporates cayenne and sand into the design. The rustic look gives it the sandy tones whilst the cayenne features in the peony flower.
Invitations or save the date cards are often the first snippet your guests will get of your wedding so it’s important to get it right if you want to create a lasting impression. Here I have shown by choosing the right style and colours how you can set the theme for your big day – especially if it’s a spring wedding!
