Wedding Hair Trend 2013 – Plaits, Plaits And More Plaits!

Thanks to Kate Kelvin  for this gorgeous guest post on the latest bridal hair trends. Over to Kate…

April sees the hottest hair trends straight off the catwalk and red carpet –  it’s plaits (and yes, you guessed it –  more plaits!) arranged in all manner of intricate and natural styles.

You can be as boho, adventurous or as classical as you dare. I do think the plait gives a secure style and worn either up or down it can be decorated with pearl pins, diamante clips, vintage side bands or whatever takes your fancy, anything goes and you can make it your own!

A plait can look very natural or very chic, and you know it will be secure all day and into the evening. If a few strands do work their way out it will look all the more gorgeous!

If you want longer plaits then clip-in real hair extensions are the way to get the look. Woven in with your own hair they will be undetectable and you can have the exact style you want without waiting for your tresses to grow.

To compliment your hair go for makeup which is natural with a twist! The twist this season is on the lips – yes, be bold, be sexy, be glamorous and if you don’t feel that is for you, then go nude lip colour in the day and vamp it up for the evening.

Get your makeup artist to advise on a natural lip shade for the day and a darker more seductive one for the evening. You will look ravishing in all your photo’s, and what fun to have a change in makeup for the reception!
