Luxury Red and Gold Themed Wedding: Kristi+Steve

The Ivy Ballroom at Merivale in Sydney is the ideal setting for a luxury wedding and, here, Blumenthal Photography beautifully captured Kristi and Steve’s special day. Kristi wanted their guests to be blown away by everything. The result is a visual treat for you. Inspiration abounds in this red and gold themed wedding.

Kristi’s dresses were important to her. “I couldn’t decide between having a big princess dress, or having a more sexy fitted dress… So in the end I decided to combine both! I also wanted to wow our guests with ANOTHER dress for the cutting of the cake, so I chose to literally match my dress with the cake and have gold detailing throughout.” Flower appliques were also a unifying detail throughout both gowns and her veil.

The couple focused on a contrast of gold and different shades of red for the wedding decor, including over 2,000 individual flowers that popped against clear glass furniture and gold details.

Wedding Flowers

The wedding flowers were made entirely of red-purple calla lilies. These, together with shades-of-red reception flowers, gave an upscale and luxurious look to the wedding.

Kristi’s silver wedding shoes served a variety of purposes. First, they carried a secret note throughout the big day, then were later on display under glass as a reception centerpiece.
