There are so many styling options for Christmas and winter weddings, from the all-white wedding ideas we shared with you last week, to sparkling Snow Queen and Cinderella ‘Fairytale’ inspired wedding ideas… However, if you want something altogether more simple then why not opt for a natural countryside inspired wedding theme…
Country Christmas Wedding Ideas
One of the best things about winter wedding flowers is the availability of deep jewel colours. If you’re looking to draw attention to your floral arrangements, then ask your florist for flowers and berries in deep reds and purples, they provide a vibrant and stunning contrast to white or off-white wedding dresses!
Winter is known for its luxurious fir trees, holly, ivy and hypericum berries. Why not include these items in your wedding centrepieces? Not only are they affordable in the winter, but they make elegant centrepieces, especially when complemented by twinkling tea lights and candles placed on tables or along mantelpieces.
The lovely Judi, from Judi Checketts Photography recently sent us this beautiful styled shoot, and it captures the essence of the countryside beautifully with simple but novel ideas for floral bouquets, table decor (and a few cupcakes!) for a Christmas or winter wedding.
The shoot was at Stanton House Hotel on the edge of the Cotswolds, a beautiful hotel overlooking Stanton Lake and Park.
Florist Nicola Roberton at Foxglove & Roses designed some gorgeous country winter bouquets and Tessa Edwards from Daisy Cakes provided some pretty festive cakes with a twist – all of which complimented and co-ordinated with the table decor. All images were shot by Judi Checketts Photography.
We’d love to hear from you if you are planning a Christmas wedding, especially if you have any country Christmas wedding ideas to share!
