For a passing wedding trend, Coral certainly seems to have some longevity! It has been a very popular wedding colour theme for some time now and is showing no sign of losing its appeal!
Coral Wedding Theme
Coral is a great colour for a wedding – it can be warm and sassy but also very soft and romantic. It works well for spring, summer and even autumn weddings depending on the colour combinations you use. As a general rule coral works well with anything from a green colour palette – mint green, turquoise and teal in particular.
Coral works brilliantly if you are having a beach wedding, as with lots of sand and sea coral can provide the perfect contrast and a much needed colour pop!
Gold and coral is another combination which works particularly well, adding a touch of elegance to your wedding colour theme if used correctly.
As with all colour themes, coral can be used for accents (bridesmaids sashes, candles, pew and venue decorations) or as a more pronounced colour theme (bridesmaids dresses, tableware, chair covers) – whatever your preference it can look stunning!
Flowers are an essential part weddings, and it’s easy and effective to express your chosen colour through flowers. Coral-coloured flowers are relatively straightforward to source, including traditional wedding flowers such as roses or beautiful gerbera daisies. Coral orchids provide a very striking, exotic and contemporary design, whilst coral-coloured lilies are ideal for a spring wedding.
