Bridesmaid Hairstyles

Organising a wedding can be a very chaotic experience but there is certainly no need to have any hair related problems on your big day! Even though it isn’t the bridesmaid’s wedding day, there will still be lots of eyes on them and also an opportunity for them to steal some limelight too!

Whether you are hiring a hair and makeup artist, asking a friend or styling hair yourself, here are some great tips to ensure your special day runs as smoothly as possible.

Do a Run Through

To make sure there are no unplanned dramas, it is always a good idea to do a run through and practice your chosen hairstyles prior to your wedding day. If you have chosen a hair and makeup artist and they charge for a run through, it may still be money well spent! It’s important to make sure that both you and your bridesmaids feel comfortable with the chosen styles, and it gives your stylist an opportunity to get to know everyone’s hair.

Accessorise

To add a bit more glamour to your bridesmaids’ hairstyles, why not choose a little something to place in their hair? This could be as simple as a few scattered jewels to something a little bigger like a flower, slide or tiara.

Be Creative

Think outside he box. It may be traditional to give all of your bridesmaids the same hairstyle but why not try a little something different for each one? Alternatively, if you are lucky enough to have your hair and makeup artist with you for the whole day, you could mix things up before your reception and get them to tweak each hairstyle to get a new look.

Think About Humidity

If you have decided to get married in a hot climate, it may be a good idea to choose a messy updo hairstyle. Humidity is not a girl’s best friend and can create unwanted frizz and flyaway hairs. Pick a style that will sweep hair away from their neck and face, to ensure they keep cool before and after your ceremony.

Remember, this is your special day. Don’t be afraid to try out a few hairstyles and accessories on everyone before your wedding day. Be creative and come up with hairstyles which will stand out in your photos and be something that everyone will remember for years to come!
