Blushing Bride, Blush Wedding Inspiration -
After numerous runway appearances, blush continues to be popular for both bridesmaid’s dresses and wedding dresses. Until recently, it was considered very unusual to wear a non-white or ivory wedding dress, but recently the trend has been to wear very pale and subtle shades of blush, pink or peach. When Reese Witherspoon walked down the aisle wearing her blush coloured Monique Lhuillier wedding dress, blush was considered to finally have come of age!
Blush and Skin Tones
If you are considering wearing a blush dress, or asking your bridesmaids to wear blush, you will need to choose a shade to compliment skin tones…
As a general rule:
- Fair skin with cool undertones – Baby pink blush, or soft rose blush.
- Fair skin tone with warm undertones – Golden apricot, or light peach blush.
- Medium skin tone with cool undertones – Rosy pink blush.
- Medium skin tone with warm undertones – Sun-kissed apricot, soft coral with brown undertones
