Ballet Bridal Shoot

At Aspirational Bride I am lucky to receive gorgeous styled photo shoots from amazing industry professionals around the UK, and they really are inspirational for brides wanting ideas and inspiration.

Today I’m thrilled to share with you a little styled shoot which I recently organised with a great team of wedding suppliers at the St Clere Estate in Kent.

Ballet Bridal Shoot

My inspiration for the shoot came from a love of the ballet. For me ballet and ballet dancers exude romance, elegance, grace and a touch of magic!

I wanted to soften the sometimes severe ballet style with pastel peaches, pinks and creams, whilst using a beautiful location and gorgeous detailing (moulded silver wire for hair and bouquet, gorgeous peach Hypericum berries, beaded clutch bag from Vintage Styler and pearl hair pins from Atelier Rousseau….) to create a touch of feminine opulence.

Ballet Bridal ShootBallet WeddingHayley, our MUA from Flame Beauty,  captured the essence of the shoot as she styled our model Alex, and we were lucky to have two beautiful ‘Dulcie’  and ‘Tilly’ dresses designed by Johanna Hehir and provided by Mathilda Rose Bridal.

St ClereWhilst opting for a classic and traditional feel to the shoot, I still wanted to combine a few recent bridal trends including a painted cake from Murray Me Designs as well as a beautiful ‘ruffles’ cake (with gorgeous sugar ranunculus flower detail!) from Vintage Rose Cupcakes.

Gwenda from The Vintage Floral Design Co worked her renowned creative magic on both flowers for the hair and bouquet!

The St Clere Estate was beautiful, as Tony from AphroditeNet Photography said ”As Kent wedding photographers we are always inspired by the many beautiful wedding venues we visit, and St Clere was truly lovely!”

St Clere is one of the most beautiful venues in the South of England, making it the perfect exclusive wedding venue for your special day, and has limited availability for July 2014 and July 2015 weddings.

As always it is truly rewarding to have the opportunity to create and develop an idea for a styled photo shoot, and to work with talented industry professionals and see their hard work and attention to detail come to fruition! Thank you to a wonderful team of suppliers!

  1. Such a gorgeous theme! Would be lovely for a bridal shower for a ballerina-bride, too.

  2. MODE Bridal says:

    Absolutely gorgeous!
