Over to Kate…
For brides getting married in autumn you are lucky enough to have a rich colour pallet to choose from for your wedding colour theme and also for your wedding make-up. Just think of those amazing colours as the trees just start to change to all shades of oranges, reds and browns… glorious colour pallets to be inspired by!
Awesome Autumn Colours…
Since our skin tone tends to lighten one or two shades during this time of year we should make sure we adjust our make-up to match the neck area. Remember that cosmetics expire – so bin last year’s shade and get a fresh replacement (this is your skin we’re talking about!).
If you used a tinted moisturiser during the summer or a light powder, you may like the feel of a creamy liquid foundation now as they tend to be a bit more nourishing. Don’t forget to use a good primer as this protects the skin from UV and make-up and also keeps your make-up in place.
Celebrities are wearing deep reds and wine lipsticks which look fantastic with minimal eye make-up. If your lips are your best feature, invest in a fab burgundy lipstick shade as it is one of the easiest ways to update your new season look. Sultry yet dramatic, statement wine toned lips were the look for many high end retailers. Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Anthony Vaccarello, Vivienne Tam, Vera Wang, Derek Lam or Miu Miu were some of the fashion houses who brought interesting variations on the wine coloured lip trend.
Remember to keep the cheeks flushed as if you have been on a brisk autumnal walk! Hair can be free and tousled as if the wind has been playing with it.
It is really important to use moisturiser daily on your face, neck and hands along with all over body nourishment – keep everything supple and protect your skin from the ravaging winds! A good lip balm is equally important to stop chapped and sore lips.
