We recently reviewed the super ‘Elizabeth Demos ‘Vintage Wedding Style ‘ book, and there is no doubt that vintage inspired weddings will continue to be popular as we go into 2013. We were therefore delighted to receive this vintage inspired photo shoot, with lots of lovely detail, from Nataliya of Akira Photography based in Kent.
Afternoon Tea Vintage Styled Photo Shoot
The stylist for this shoot was Claire from Finest Details Weddings. Here’s what she had to say:
‘When I think of the words ‘vintage’ and ‘shabby chic’ I think of elegance and glamour – and that is exactly what I wanted my styled shoot to capture. Within the stunning grounds of Starborough Manor in Kent, I styled two separate scenes to showcase just this. With my model wearing a simple vintage white shift dress and netted hat from Wear It Again Sam, her look was finished off with a pop of red lip colour from make up artist Toni – tres chic!
Nestled under a large leafy tree I styled an arrangement comprising of crates, drapes and unique pieces, chosen for their pretty yet understated look, sourced from Magnolias in Edenbridge and The Edenbridge Florist. Seated upon a shabby chic style table nearby, was one of the gorgeous glass drinks dispensers that I hire, providing an elegant way to serve refreshments.
The moat with Starborough Castle as a beautiful backdrop, was the perfect place for my second scene, which took the form of a stylish afternoon tea. Pretty vintage china from Violet & May Vintage and delicate rose cupcakes from Vintage Rose Cupcake took centre stage surrounded by bunting and ivy trees – exuding dreamy glamour and elegance – my vision was complete.’
