Adding Aisle Style
One of the most significant moments during any wedding ceremony is when the bridal party makes its entrance. The air is full of anticipation as the guests and groom wait for their first glimpse of the bride as she walks down the aisle in her wedding dress. Whatever venue you choose for your wedding, chances are you will have an ‘aisle’ to make your entrance, so here’s our tips on adding aisle style!
Church Aisle Style
When it comes to getting married a traditional church wedding (or a church blessing) is still favoured by many couples. Many churches have beautiful stained glass windows, flowers and candles. If you decide you want to add some additional wedding decorations you will need to ask your priest or vicar if there are any restrictions for church wedding décor, and also find out whether there are other weddings taking place on the same day as yours.
Pew/Aisle Decoration Ideas
It can be more economical to decorate the first pew, then every second pew, until you have 6 decorations on either side. Here are a few of our favourite ideas for pew decorations including real and paper flowers and ribbons to add interest and colour.
Aisle Style for Other Wedding Venues
If you are getting married in a venue other than a church, you will potentially have more opportunities and fewer restrictions for aisle decorations, although you may have to work harder to transform an otherwise blank canvas! You can still use all of the above ideas, but generally you’ll be able to be more adventurous with colour and design… If you have an outdoor venue you can even scatter rose petals to create your very own colourful aisle!
